[3] My dear Mr. Fern
[4] I left my station among
[5] the Kitiksheans in British
[6] Columbia on August 2nd
[7] New York on Sept 2nd
[8] and reached here at noon
[9] today. By some mistake of
[10] the agent at San Francisco
[11] where I took a through ticket
[12] I will have to go to Dublin
[13] before I go to London.
[14] From the enclosed papers
[15] you will learn the reason of
[16] my visit. I feel that
[17] it is my duty to inform
[18] you as soon as possible of

[1] my arrival and consider
[2] it the best course to forward
[3] the papers by post so as
[4] to afford you an opportunity
[5] of learning their contents
[6] before I see you personally
[7] which I hope to do, please
[8] God, on Friday next.
[9] Please excuse haste
[10] Yours Very Sincerely
[11] Robt Tomlinson
